I didn’t really think it would ever be complete.
After many tears and two actual tantrums.
And rain, so much rain.
I bring you the most beautiful porch….ever…at least to me !
So please join me as we walk up the brick stairs.
This is the first thing you see.
That threadbare rug you see in front of the door was my great grandmother’s.
If you turn to the right before entering the screened portion this is what you see.
I always wanted a covered porch for grilling.
If you turn to the left you see the new back door.
Remember that one?? 🙂
As you enter through the doors the first thing you see straight ahead is the couch.
As you look to the right there are two large armchairs.
They are very comfortable and you just sink right in.
Turn a tad more to the right and you find a sweet loveseat right beside the double doors.
And the final spin to the right you come to the seating area.
This is on the wall of the original house.
And there you have it.
Our new screened porch.
It has been the greatest joy for Mr. and me to spend the long hot summer outside while not outside completely. And we are looking forward to many more. If you want to see the build from the beginning start here.
Leave a comment if you have any questions about the finished product. Next porch talk post I promise to give you all the scoop on everything I would have done differently, and the mistakes I made. But for now, grab a glass of tea, and enjoy the porch.
